How to Order

Commissions are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure your commission, place your order online through my shop and pay in full. This ensures your spot for commissioned artwork.

Once my schedule for 2024 is full, commissions will be closed. In past years, commissions have filled up quickly—To avoid missing out, place your order as soon as commissions open.

All commissioned pieces will be completed and shipped by December 10, 2024, to ensure delivery before Christmas.

About Commissions

Each piece is meticulously hand-burned and painted by artist Courtney Burke.

The pricing is a flat rate for any design you choose. Popular options include realistic portraits of pets and people, but you can request artwork based on photographs, homes, landscapes, vehicles, animals, and wildlife. Your custom artwork can be based on any photo(s) or concept you have. I can also combine multiple images into one piece to feature all your pets or family members on a single slice of wood. All commission details will be discussed via email to ensure that the artwork is exactly how you envision it before any burning begins.

About the Wood

I use high-quality, rustic basswood and birch rounds with a live edge. Each piece is hand-sanded to a smooth 400-grit finish, and the bark is left intact.

Finishing Touches:

• Golden string for hanging on a nail or on your Christmas tree
• Your woodburning art will be sealed to protect the artwork and wood

After You Place an Order

After placing your order, please email your photo(s) and art ideas to courtneyburkeart@gmail.com or reply directly to the confirmation email you receive. High-quality photos ensure the most realistic details in your artwork. Include any customizations or additions you’d like. I will discuss the artwork with you before beginning work. 

You will be placed into the commission queue upon ordering. I will notify you via email with an estimated start date for your artwork.

Payment

Payment is required in full and is processed in USD. International orders are accepted. If you are purchasing from outside the USA, your payment method (credit card, bank, Apple Pay, or PayPal) will automatically convert the amount to USD.

Delivery

Free local pickup is available in Fredericksburg, USA (cash option available upon request; please email courtneyburkeart@gmail.com). Shipping includes tracking. Delivery times are:

• USA: 3-10 days
• International: 1-3 weeks

If delivery to your country is not available at checkout, please email me at courtneyburkeart@gmail.com to inquire. Some countries have strict import policies on wood, and I will verify the policies and add your country to the eligible list if possible.

Import duties and taxes may apply to orders outside the USA.
